On July 7th, I visited the "Summer Vacation Volunteer Class" sponsored by the Taiki Town Social Welfare Council.
The theme is "disaster prevention cooking" that is useful in times of disaster.
Seventeen elementary and junior high school students from Taiki Town participated through an open recruitment process, and they worked hard to try their hand at cooking.
You will be surprised at the dishes that can be easily made in one pot using plastic bags, such as yakitori bowl, somen oyaki, and vegetable juice rice (like ketchup rice)!
The white rice in the foreground of the photo is white rice, and you can easily cook it in a plastic bag.
The utensils were also creative, such as handmade paper tableware.
Wind and flood damage can occur at any time.
This is a great opportunity for children to learn about natural disasters and disaster prevention themselves.
The instructor was Michiko Yamamoto, representative of Toba City's "Childcare Support!! 0,1,2,3 Circle."
Thank you very much for your valuable experience.
