Bear Alert Notice

On the evening of August 6, 8, a hiker was attacked by an Asiatic black bear near the trailhead of Tsuzurato Pass on Mt. Ouchiyama in Taiki Town.

The Taiki Town Tourism Association provided information via social media on August 8th,

Mie Prefecture has issued a "Mie Prefecture Bear Alert" for the towns of Taiki and Kihoku during the period below.

We urge residents of Mie Prefecture and those visiting the prefecture to exercise caution.
