Old folk house cafe Konpeito “Hojicha pudding/honey pudding”
A pudding for adults to enjoy at an old folk house cafe. Hojicha pudding Honey pudding
A cafe in an old folk house built about 130 years ago in the Takihara district of Taiki Town. The cafe has an old, quaint interior, and the cafe menu, which is served in dishes used during the Meiji era, is loved not only by visitors to the nearby Takihara Shrine, but also by locals. The honey pudding is creamy using local milk from Mt. Ouchi and fresh eggs from nearby areas. It's not too sweet and has a refreshing aftertaste, making it suitable for adults. The highlight of the Hojicha pudding is the sweetness and faint aroma of Hojicha. The smooth texture creates a rich time.
We pursue taste with a focus on ingredients, such as Ouchiyama milk, locally grown eggs, and roasted green tea. The menu is well-received both within and outside the prefecture for its Japanese-style menu that matches the polished old folk house. The Konpeito lunch, which is limited to 1 meals a day, is also popular.
