Announcement of simultaneous holding of "Oki Fureai Festival and Takiharamiya Grand Festival"

On Sunday, October 2025, 10, the "Oki Fureai Festival/Takiharamiya Grand Festival" will be held around Takiharamiya Shrine and its parking lot.

The theme of this year's Taiki Fureai Festival is "Taiki's Food and Traditions."

As in previous years, there will be free distribution of Taiki Town's specialties, including Matsusaka beef, Ise yellowtail, Ouchiyama River-swim sweetfish, Ouchiyama milk and dairy drinks, as well as matcha tea and sweets.

On the stage, local performing arts such as "Nohara Daikagura," an intangible cultural asset of the town, as well as "Kiyari Uta," "Nishikibushi," and "Kashiwazaki Ondo," which are also performed at the Takiharamiya Festival, will be introduced. There will also be an Ouchiyama milk drinking contest, a raffle, and rice cake throwing, making it a packed day of fun.

By the way, this year's host will be Erika Tada. It's sure to be a lively event.

This year, a record 65 booths will be set up in the parking lot of the main venue, selling agricultural and seafood products, food and drink, miscellaneous goods, exhibitions, and experiences.

Additionally, in front of the Kokutsukikan Roadside Station, there will be a Self-Defense Forces vehicle display and uniform try-on experience, and the Okuise Fire Department of the Kisei District Wide Area Fire Department will be holding a fire engine display and fire-resistant clothing try-on experience, allowing visitors to test drive vehicles that are not normally available.

The Takiharamiya Grand Festival will be held at the same time, and will include the "Hatsuhohiki" ceremony to dedicate this year's rice ears to Takiharamiya Shrine, "Kiyari" (wooden sashing), Shinto rituals, Bugaku (traditional dance), and more.
