We are currently looking for participants for the "Tour of the Inner Shrine and Five Branch Shrines" with a storyteller!
period
2026.03.28 ~ 2026.03.28
Since last year, various Shinto rituals have been held at the shrine in preparation for the 63rd Grand Shrine Shikinen Sengu and Sengo Ceremony in 2033. (Note: The Shikinen Sengu of the auxiliary shrines will be held in 2034.)
Starting on April 12th of this year, the once-in-20-year folk event "Okihiki" will begin at the Inner Shrine, Outer Shrine and all of the auxiliary shrines.
In this special milestone year...
We have prepared a special tour guided by a storyteller, with the theme of "A Journey Back to Ise."
Pilgrimage Shrine
This tour will visit three shrines that are revered as the Inner Shrine, a branch shrine within the area, and a remote shrine outside the area.
- Kotaijingu (Inner Shrine)
- Aramatsuri Shrine
- Kazehiki Shrine
- Takihara Shrine
- Takihara Tomiya
- Izushi Shrine
While listening to the explanations of storytellers who are knowledgeable about the shrines, you will learn about the history of each shrine, the enshrined deities, and their connection to the Shikinen Sengu (period rebuilding of the shrines), allowing you to worship at a deeper level.
Tour features
① Travel comfortably in a jumbo taxi
Jumbo taxis are used to travel between each palace, so you can travel long distances with peace of mind.
② A luxurious lunch of local cuisine in Oharaimachi
Please take your time to enjoy the unique flavors of Ise.
3. A storyteller will provide a thorough guide
We will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the history, religious ceremonies, and the meaning of the Shikinen Sengu.
④ Small group system
You can enjoy a peaceful pilgrimage in a calm atmosphere.
In this special year that comes once every 20 years
The Shikinen Sengu is the largest religious ceremony at the shrine.
This year, when the Mikihiki procession begins, is truly the "year when Ise moves."
On this special occasion, why not spend a day tracing the origins of prayer?
We look forward to your participation.
