World Heritage Kumano Kodo Tsuzurato Pass
This pass has long been the border between Ise Province and Kiin Province, and has been the gateway to Kumano, a sacred place for travelers making Kumano pilgrimages from Ise. Tsuzurato means XNUMX folds. As the name suggests, the slope leading down to Kii Nagashima is a series of sharp curves that turn back in a zigzag pattern.
